Substation Electrician - Brownsville, TX ($120/day per diem) Power the Future. Advance Your Career.

Are you a licensed electrician looking to work on critical power infrastructure? Join our team as a Substation Electrician and play a key role in installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting high- and medium-voltage electrical systems that keep communities and businesses powered.

• Install, maintain, and repair substation equipment and electrical systems up to 35kV .
• Troubleshoot transformers, relays, motors, generators, and control systems.
• Perform electrical testing using meters, meggers, and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO , grounding, switching, and PPE requirements.
• Support outages, emergency response, and service restoration activities.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience as a licensed electrician.
• Experience with medium- or high-voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
• Skilled with electrical testing tools and hand tools.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb, and work in physically demanding environments.

• Substation, utility, or industrial electrical experience.
• Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, relays, and power distribution systems.
• Military electrical experience or commissioning experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
